Call for Translations Lyotard's Discourse, figure (1971) / from French into English

This 428-page treatise by Jean-Francois Lyotard has only been translated partially into English. We would like to collect translations from French into English and put them on this website.

We recommend that you contact billako@netscape.net or billako@enl.uoa.gr or Costis at c@costis.org to sign up for the translation of a part of this work. Someone could also volunteer to edit the collected translations or make them consistent in the translation of terms.

We are sorry that there is no payment nor efforts at the moment for the publication of this not-for-profit translation in paper form, though if the response—and the results--are good, publication in paper form might be sought. We feel that this might be Lyotard's most important work and it is a valuable service to make it more available.

If you sign up for a translation and have a problem getting the text, please contact billako@netscape.net or billako@enl.uoa.gr.

The sections already translated are noted by * (an asterisk), and > means that someone has offered to translate it. Every effort has been made to contact the copyright holder. Editions Klincksieck, the original publisher in 1971, was contacted but the company by that name today did not acknowledge the work. Any further assistance would be appreciated.
